Handmade UK Lift Up Ottoman Storage Bases
An ottoman base maximises storage without sacrificing style. Unlike drawers, an ottoman base uses a gas lift ottoman base mechanism to raise the entire mattress, giving you full access to a large, hidden storage space beneath.
Our British beds include sizes from a small single ottoman base for a compact room, up to a spacious super king size ottoman base for a master suite. All of our ottoman divan bases are handmade in the UK to the highest standard.
What is an ottoman base?
An ottoman base is a type of bed with storage that lifts up from the side or the end. Using a reliable gas lift ottoman base system, the platform raises smoothly and safely, revealing the entire storage area beneath. This makes an ottoman bed base ideal for bedding, clothing, shoes, or seasonal items.
Sizes of ottoman bases available
All our ottoman bases are available in standard UK sizes:
- Small single ottoman base (76cm × 190cm): Compact and practical, the ottoman lift bed storage in a small single can work perfectly as a transitional kids bed.
- Single ottoman base (91cm × 190cm): Ideal for smaller spaces, including teens’ and guest bedrooms.
- Small double ottoman base (121cm × 190cm): The next step up from a single, offering more space to sleep, whilst keeping space use to a minimum.
- Double ottoman base (135cm × 190cm): A versatile option for couples or adults looking for a sleek, space-saving design.
- King-size ottoman base (152cm × 198cm): Offering more room to stretch out, while maximising storage space.
- Super king ottoman base (183cm × 198cm): A luxurious choice for larger bedrooms, blending space with a contemporary silhouette.
